The first tournament on Saturday kicked off with the couples competing in the WDSF Open Rising Stars Standard. Seventy-six couples – an increase of eight from the previous year – delivered excellent performances right from the start on the spacious dance floor at the Historische Stadthalle. Three German couples remained in the semifinals, but unfortunately, this number was reduced to just one by the time the finals began. Daniil Ketov / Viviana Koschnitzki, Braunschweiger TSC, finished in fourth place as the last DTV representatives in the finals. The podium places were decided quite clearly, with each couple dancing their way to their final rankings in all dances. Bronze went to Kyle Luis Woodward / Maria Victoria Rechnaya, United Kingdom, while Dmytro Gorobets / Lara-Marie Klug, Moldova took silver. The winners – and clearly in first place thanks to their very strong rhythm, musicality, and elegance – were Mateusz Stawowy / Sara Silva, Poland, who were thus able to take home danceComp gold.
