Media representatives
This page summarizes the conditions and procedures for the accreditation of media representatives and media professionals for the danceComp.

Authorized accreditation holder
Accredited media representatives and media professionals can only be admitted to danceComp if they fulfill one of the following conditions:
- Professional journalists, editors and photographers: Proof of journalistic activity is provided by a valid press card from a recognized organization and/or written confirmation from a commissioning editorial office.
- Freelance/commercial photographers, videographers, content creators or comparable professionals: Freelance or commercial photographers, videographers, content creators or comparable professionals can also be accredited. Proof of activity is provided in the form of written confirmation from the commissioning editorial office or commercial proof.
Accreditation procedure
The danceComp is an event of the Dance Sport Association of North Rhine-Westphalia (TNW). Accreditation can be applied for via the TNW website.
- The online accreditation form must be completed in full and submitted at least two weeks before the event.
- Copies of the necessary supporting documents (press card, letter of assignment, commercial certificate) must be enclosed with the application.
- Confirmation is usually sent ten days before the event.
- Applications sent by e-mail, post, fax, telephone or otherwise than via the online form will not be accepted.
- Due to the space available, the number of media representatives and media professionals admitted may be limited. The TNW reserves the right to approve or reject applications after reviewing and weighting the requests.
Rights of use and restrictions
- Accredited media representatives may only use the produced content for editorial purposes directly related to the event.
- Commercial or promotional use of the content produced is not permitted without the explicit permission of the TNW. Excluded from this are photos for private use or for use in the context of dance sport club activities (e.g. club website; social media presence of a dance sport club), as well as for advertising one’s own activities.
- Any rights of third parties involved must be clarified by the media representatives independently and on their own responsibility.
During the event
Access to the event
- Professional journalists, editors and photographers are granted free admission to the event.
- Freelance/commercial photographers, videographers, content creators or similar professionals must pay the regular admission price (box office; cheapest category for adults) on site.
Catering
- There is no entitlement to free catering on the part of the organizer.
Working areas
- Accredited media representatives may be assigned special work areas, including photo/TV/interview zones.
- If special work areas have been assigned, accredited media representatives undertake to carry out their work exclusively within these assigned areas.
Respect for personal rights
- Accredited media representatives undertake to respect and safeguard the personal rights of participating athletes and spectators, in accordance with the protection of young people/minors.
Violations & sanctions
A granted accreditation may be withdrawn before or during the event, in particular if accredited persons:
- coach participating athletes
- interfere with the competition
- disobey the instructions of the competition management (e.g. chairperson) or the responsible organizers
- behave negligently at the event venue (e.g. entering the dance floor during active dancing)
- have given their accreditation/press card to a third party
- leave assigned special work areas
The TNW expressly reserves the right to take further legal action or to claim further damages. If accreditation has been withdrawn, the person concerned may be denied accreditation for further events.
