Arrival
The Historische Stadthalle Wuppertal is centrally located on the Johannisberg in the south of Elberfeld, not far from the city center and Wuppertal’s main train station. It is easy to reach by public transport, by car and from the airports of Dusseldorf, Dortmund and Cologne/Bonn. The ICE train station, many hotels and the city center are only a few minutes walk away.

There are two low-emission zones in Wuppertal, which are indicated by traffic signs. The Historic Town Hall Wuppertal is located in the district of Elberfeld and therefore falls into low-emission zone 1. The low-emission zones apply to all vehicles of both Wuppertal residents and visitors from Germany and abroad.
To be allowed to drive in the low emission zone, you always need a green low emission sticker. Anyone driving through the low emission zone without a low emission sticker must expect a fine of 80 euros.
Vehicles without a green emission sticker should therefore be parked outside the low-emission zone in a free P+R parking lot (Park & Ride). We recommend the P+R parking lot Zoo/Stadion, Siegfriedstr. 58, 42117 Wuppertal. From there, take an 8 minutes ride with the suspension railway (direction Oberbarmen) to the stop Ohligsmühle. The walk to the Historic Town Hall takes approx. 8 minutes (450m).
Arrival by plane
There are three airports in the area with national and international connections. We recommend traveling via Dusseldorf Airport (best connection to the venue).
The onward journey to Wuppertal can be made by public transport or car/taxi. The danceComp organization team also offers individual shuttle rides on demand and according to availability, which are carried out by volunteers.
