In the Offenbach Saal on Friday, the fourth tournament block featured no fewer than three competitions. Following two standard tournaments, the Seniors II D Latin brought the block to a close.
Senior IV A Standard
With twelve couples, the Seniors IV A Standard was the largest competition in the block. Following a preliminary round, the top six couples qualified for the final. There, Andreas and Angelika Falk from the TSA at VfL Pinneberg left no doubt as to who would win the competition. With victories in all five dances and just a single third-place ranking in the entire final, they confidently took the top spot. The fifth-placed couple, Reinhard and Annette Spieker from TSC Ems-Casino Blau-Gold Greven, also had reason to celebrate, as they were promoted to the S-class.

Lars and Alexandra Korn from TSC Grün-Gelb Erftstadt put in a convincing performance, winning four of the five dances, and relegated Peter and Svetlana Brunzel from Tanzsportzentrum Delmenhorst to second place. The second-placed couple only won the tango.

Senior II D Latin
Six couples first presented their general look before the final round of the Seniors II D Latin took place. Daniel and Astrid Exel from TSA d. 1. SSV Saalfeld 92 won all four dances, thereby securing a commanding victory in the tournament. The battle for third place remained tense: Marin-Ionel Milcu and Yuliya Malysh were level with Markus Gemmer and Friederike Emrich after the four dances, so that ultimately the skating rules tipped the balance in favour of the Cologne couple.
