The Offenbach Saal kicked off Saturday’s danceComp 2026 with three varied competitions. The Adults II B Latin competition started the day off, bringing a full house and a great atmosphere right from the start of the competition day.
Adults II B Latein
Sixteen couples competed in the Adults II B Latin category, progressing through the preliminary round and the semi-final to reach the final. In the final, the Swiss couple Thilo Schmid / Janice Steiner from Dance Unlimited Zurich prevailed, winning four of the five dances. Only the rumba was won by Maximilian Schönherr / Sarah Jurkscheit from Tanzsportclub Balance Berlin.

Adults II D Standard
The 21 couples in Adults II D Standard danced their way through three rounds. In the final, a close battle for the tournament title unfolded: Johannes Dembach / Jasmin Luther from TanzZentrum Ludwigshafen narrowly prevailed, winning two dances, against Lucas Heimann / Rabea Mogilka from T.T.C. Rot-Weiß-Silber Bochum and David and Franziska Thieke from Grün-Gold-Club Bremen. The decision on second place was only made after the skating rules were applied, in favour of the Bochum couple. The fourth-placed couple, Markus Schraven / Meryem Krannich from the TD Tanzsportclub Düsseldorf Rot-Weiß, also had reason to celebrate, as their result secured their promotion to Class C.

Senior III B Latin
In the Senior III B Latin category, four couples first performed a general look. Richard and Andrea Ganser from Tanzsportgemeinschaft Fürth impressed the judges in the final and, with victories in all five dances, comfortably secured the tournament title. Uwe Rieger and Birgit Temiz from Club Saltatio Hamburg and Andre Trappmann / Sandra Quirin-Trappmann from TSA at VfL Pinneberg were level after the Paso Doble, so it was ultimately the Jive that decided second place in favour of the Hamburg couple.
